Say, “Students have you ever had a really hard time finding a book you’d like?” Allow students to talk to partners or shout out. Then say, “Believe or not but, me too! Sometimes I just don’t know what to read! So today I want to give you some strategies for what to do when you don’t know what to read next.”
Show the video and then have students discuss and write down the different strategies they can use to find a good book in their notebooks.
